About the temporary hold
When you tap to open, your bank places a short pre-authorization hold — like at a gas pump. Once the door closes, the hold is replaced by your actual purchase amount. Depending on your bank, the released hold can take up to 7 days to disappear from your statement. It's normal, and you're never charged twice.
